ARB Deluxe Bars Bumper + Warn Zeon Platinum 10-S Installation

All installation is performed over 1 or 2 months period.  I have an open air garage (no garage).  So, all installation need to be done during day time.  Weather also another factor for the long installation span.  The winter has been brutal in our area.  We got snowstorm till mid April. Before installation start, there are a few prep work can be done.  I have done the following task before bumper installation.   Prep winch for installation to the bumper. Bumper pre-prep tasks before installation to the Sequoia.   Winch Prep (Warn Zeon Platinum 10-S) The winch I choose for this installation is Warn Zeon Platinum 10S.  This is a winch rated as 10,000lbs pull capability.  If you are looking for the specification of the winch, you can find it at the following link.   https://www.warn.com/truck/winches/ZEON_10-S_Pltnm.jsp In additional to the winch, you will need the following parts. ...

Roof Top Tent Discussion & Selection

Roof top tent has 2 style.
  1. Hard Shell
  2. Soft Shell

Choosing a RTT is not easy.  My recommendation is to write down your need/requirement for RTT. Weight in which requirement is most important to you and make a decision.

The investment for RTT can be affordable, but the cost will rise up as tremendously depend on your need.  Typical 2 person RTT can be found for less than $800.  But the most expensive RTT can be up to $5000+.

My first RTT purchased was a Tepui soft shell RTT, Autana XL Sky Siberian Camo.  I love the camo pattern and was thinking to keep the purchase, but some minor damages found during shipping.

Due to damages, I was forced to rethink my need on the RTT.  I found CVT tent.  I choosed Mt. Denali Extended Stargazer Summit as my final selection.

Here is the tepui tent.  Autana XL Sky Siberian Camo.  The retail price for this tent is US$2350.  Shipping cost is US$215.

Here is the CVT Mt. Denali Extended Stargazer Summit.  The retail price for this tent is US$3,395.00.  Shipping cost is US$300.

My most important must need feature for RTT selection is the ability to sleep up to 5 people comfortable.

  • CVT Mt. Denali has 87'x96' sleeping platform vs Tepui Autana XL has 72'x96'.  There is an increase of 15' in width.  Extra 20% sleep area.
  • Manufacturer brand.  Both Tepui and CVT has pretty good reputation on support and durability.
  • Pricing.  The price between Tepui and CVT is almost similar.  CVT cost more due to more features and accessories included.
  • CVT summit series is better than Autana XL.  CVT summit series is comparable to Tepui Autana XL Ruggedized.  The RTT has solid diamond plated floor for durability.
  • Ladder.  CVT Mt. Denali has 2 ladder vs Tepui Autana XL only have 1 ladder.  Easy on/off access.
  • Divider.  CVT Mt. Denali can setup a divider for privacy.  Wife/girls will be appreciate the privacy.
  • Annex.  Both CVT and Tepui RTT will include annex.

I finally pull the trigger and purchased a Tan color CVT Mt. Denali Extended Stargazer Summit RTT.
