Upgrade factory fog light - Morimoto XB LED Fog Light

I'm upgrading the factory fog light to LED.  I choose Morimoto XB LED Fog light for this replacement.  XB is a direct replacement over factory light.  I ordered Morimoto XB LED Fog Light from TRS (The Retrofit Source)  https://www.theretrofitsource.com/.

The installation is very straight forward.  You will need the following tools.


  1. 10mm socket and wrench
  2. flat head screwdriver
  3. nose pliers
  4. paper towel for cleaning dirts/finger prints.  

The light arrived in a box and both fog light wrapped in bubble wrap.  The wire terminal is not inserted to a wiring plug.  You will need to test the correct wiring by plugging the wire terminal to the vehicle wiring harness.  



First, I removed the fog light plastic cover from the bumper.  This will exposed 3 10mm bolt.  Removed all 3 @ 10mm bolts and you will be able to remove the fog light assembly from the vehicle.  Disconnect the fog light wiring harness.  





Removed the factory fog light from the housing.  Removed the light aim adjuster assembly.  Move the adjustment to the new LED fog light.  I try to reset the adjuster to the factory setting.  Reinstall the LED fog light back to the plastic housing.  Test the wiring terminal.  The photo below show the correct wiring terminal.  Insert the wiring terminal into the wired socket.  You will feel a click when the wiring terminal securely inserted to the socket.  




 Reinstalled the housing back to the vehicle bumper.  Tighten 3 @ 10 mm bolt.  Insert the fog light plastic cover back.  Voila, you completed the installation.  Now, turn on the fog light and test function.  



The new LED foglight output is much more better than factory foglight.  Morimoto LED fog light also have blackout reflector for enhanced appearance.  Overall, the upgrade is very easy and straight forward.  Only 15 mins required for the whole installation.  I took 30 mins because I spend extra time wiping off dirts from the plastic cover & housing.

    LED Grow Lights have a great deal of other advantages. first, LED lights don't work with the aid of some poisonous chemicals, like mercury or sodium in HPS lights, thus emitting no harmful gas or radiation LED vs HPS
